So I asked Laura to marry me yesterday. We drove out to Joshua Tree national park while we were visiting in Los Angeles. We went up on top of  the Little San Bernardino Mountains and I launched my plan to ask her. I gave her a hardcover Fellowship of the Rings book which had been hollowed out. Inside I had placed her ring inside a little envelope that said “One Ring To Bind Them”. I got down on one knee and asked and she replied “Yes, yes, of course!”

I guess I could have been wearing elf ears, then it would have been a little dorkier. :) See the photo below to see the book, inside and ring!

One Vintage Ring to Bind Us. I Don't think Sauron would be rocking this style though.

Peter Jackson just put up a new blog talking about filming the Hobbit. This one deals with 3D and how they are using it. Though I am not a fan of 3D movies, I may go see it in 3D after the first viewing.

Anyways, here’s the video blog:

I was checking out the One Ring.net today and found this picture. This could be the first we have sen of Beorn’s hall in the upcoming Hobbit movie.

Spoiler alert after break.

Some really great costumes here. I have a feeling that they kept some of the designs from Del Toro.

Hopefully these are just the first production images we will start to see! We get a great view of Bilbo’s pointed ear, Iguess I better get sculpting! See more after the jump.

Just saw this up on Youtube, its a remix of chords and vocal samples from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, creating a pretty catchy little dance mix.

Mixed by Pogo, it is titled Murmurs of Middle Earth.

It has been announced that Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Christopher Lee, and most importantly Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf will all bt returning to Middle Earth for the upcoming Hobbit films. I am unsure how I feel about all these cameos in the films, but as long as it is done well, I think it could work. Hugo Weaving has not been confirmed as Elrond yet though. In other news David Tenant of Dr. Who fame is being rumored to be Thranduil the Elven King. That could be pretty neat.

The One ring.net reported today that Elijah Wood could be Frodo again in the upcoming Hobbit movies!

Spoilers ahead, so only click the image if you want to be spoiled!
