Peter Jackson just put up a new blog talking about filming the Hobbit. This one deals with 3D and how they are using it. Though I am not a fan of 3D movies, I may go see it in 3D after the first viewing.

Anyways, here’s the video blog:

What happens when you get Larry Elmore, Margaret Weis (of Dragonlance Fame), two non elf brothers, and a bunch of orcs whose makeup was done by the Brothers Bielaczyc? You get the Brothers Brabarian web series!

Some really great costumes here. I have a feeling that they kept some of the designs from Del Toro.

After BSG, what could a sexy cylon do for a living? Get a Mortal Kombat style blade and start killing I guess. Everythings seems wrong about this movie, but I still have to see it.

Why? Wait til the end. Chainsaw.

so i guess i was wrong, it seems this is a black keys video… but still. chainsaw.

For those of you trying to make a Tron Legacy Costume, we now off a generic holder that will mount the official Identity Disk to any garment. It comes in a default gray color (we can make it white too if people ask), but it can be painted any color you like!

Ridley Scott announced a while back that he was planning two Alien prequels revolving around the back story to the alien race itself and the derelict ship featured in the first two films.

It looks like 2011 will have some awesome movies.

It has been announced that Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Christopher Lee, and most importantly Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf will all bt returning to Middle Earth for the upcoming Hobbit films. I am unsure how I feel about all these cameos in the films, but as long as it is done well, I think it could work. Hugo Weaving has not been confirmed as Elrond yet though. In other news David Tenant of Dr. Who fame is being rumored to be Thranduil the Elven King. That could be pretty neat.

As I get ready to start my own version of a Grid Program, I found this jacket which is not only really cool, but also a good price. If I had not already purchased a jacket to build from, I would probably have bought this one.
